A lawsuit has been initiated in the New York Supreme Court, Erie County, challenging the interpretation of the tribal-state compact entered into between the Seneca Nation of Indians and the State of New York. Daniel T. Warren, sought to intervene in this action. This action seeks a determination of whether the authorizing act is constitutional and if the State can enter into tax compacts with Indian nations or tribes.
